Second #TwitterFiction Festival To Take Place March 12-16

Second #TwitterFiction Festival To Take Place March 12-16

Together with the Association of American Publishers and Penguin Random House, Twitter will present its second #TwitterFiction Festival, March 12-16.

Twitter calls the virtual event a “digital storytelling extravaganza,” one that gives writers a new medium for their fiction work and readers the opportunity to read fiction in a cool new way.

Want to be a part of it? Submit your idea on before February 5 for the chance to become a Featured Storyteller, using any of Twitter’s functionality from Vine videos to Twitter accounts to crowd-sourced tweets.

What your submission needs is your Twitter handle, number of followers, your story idea and how Twitter will power it (a murder mystery told through Vine? a Twitter account parodying a historical character?), a 140-character sample of the idea, and your name and email.

Entries will be judged by a panel of executives from American Publishers companies. And during the festival, a cadre of hand-picked authors will be participating by tweeting out their own creative social media-powered fiction.

Follow the action on @TWfictionfest and #TwitterFiction.
