Three-quarters (75.3 percent) of social network users in the United Kingdom currently access platforms such as Twitter and Facebook via their mobile phones, with this number expected to rise to 90.2 percent by 2018, reports eMarketer.
Back in 2012 just 58 percent of UK social networkers logged onto these channels via mobile, so we’ve already seen a huge jump in just 24 months. And while the ascent will slow somewhat through 2018, nine in 10 social media users – about half of the total population, and 60.6 percent of all mobile users – will connect with social media sites using phones in the next four years.
Better get started on that social mobile strategy, then.
