Email is the most popular activity of tablet owners in the United Kingdom, followed by playing games, keeping up with news and social networking, reveals a new study.
A November 2013 survey by Newsworks observed that almost two-thirds (65 percent) of UK tablet owners used their devices to send and receive email. Around half used their tablet to play games (54 percent), follow news (49 percent) and for social networking (49 percent).
eMarketer estimates that more than 20 million people used a tablet in the UK at least monthly in 2013 – either their own or somebody else’s – and that figure is expected to rise to 24.6 million this year.
