I didn't know people had to have their opinions vetted by the left wing brain trust before they were allowed to express them. That "inclusive," "benevolent," "tolerant" label left wingers like to hang on themselves must be starting to pinch. |

Stay classy orthicon. It amazes me how some can get banned for their behavior, while others have free rein to post whatever enters their childish minds. |

Tea Party Wacko? Question. If a democrat had said the same thing, would he be called a "wacko" and would his words be headlined by the media? Think not. Anyone other than a lefty says something the left doesn't like and they're vilified. By the way, why are the democrats conducting a smear campaign against the tea party? Fear? For the most part the tea party lives in the hearts of those who want to return American values and American business sense back to this country. There are millions of us who don't attend meetings or show up at rallies. But we're out here and in a couple of months we'll quietly cast our votes. I'm sure that worries the radical left a great deal. Not so much the moderate left, because I'm sure in the back of the minds of the moderate left they too see how this country needs to step off the path we've been led down for the past four years. |

Liberals...especially the left wingers here... continue their shift far to the left and the only way they can reconcile their position on the political continuum is to label ALL Republicans and conservatives as extremists. That way they can try to portray themselves as mainstream but that's becoming more difficult. Forty percent of the country now labels itself as conservative while only twenty percent embraces the liberal tag. They are a dying breed but they'll do everything they can to preseve their egos while they circle the drain. |

The name calling and nastiness makes intelligent debate impossible. Left leaning posters have ruined this board, this site, for everyone. MB should shut the bb down. If not, MB risk further irrelevance. |

now that's funny notso "MB should shut the bb down. If not, MB risk further irrelevance." (sic) It's an f'n bulletin board notso. Do you have delusions of grandeur because you have posted here? (under different names). How very sad. |

It's a bulletin board for those of us who work in media. |

Actually, it's a bulletin board for MB users who want to discuss current events. There are two exclusive TV boards...Production Corner and TV News Corner (both virtually unused)...for those who wish to isolate themselves from everyone except other media people..like some of the posters here always whine. |

but relevance? These threads are generally hijacked by a certain paranoid delusional who turns what may have started out as a spirited debate into a mud throwing fest focused on himself. It may seem fun for awhile, but as with most childish games, they tend to get old and stale. I don't see much high minded debate coming from the extreme right wing posters here. They come to pick fights and go on and on and on and on and on about how much the hate the President. ' I'm a journalist. I come here to blow off steam and laugh at the funny little people pretending to be "in the media". Occasionally a good debate is fun and a good exercise until the trolls decide to throw their poop at the adults. I don't come here for relevant information on anything but behaviors exhibited by those with mental disorders. btw notso, I see you have, as I write this post, a total of 2 posts which consist only of whining about the "irrelevance" of this bb. I see you haven't posted anything to raise the tone and respect level of this board. And I'd like to repeat, this is just a fricking bulletin board. Live with it. |

"as with most childish games, they tend to get old and stale" I suspect the real message is that the left wingers here cannot intimidate and/or overwhelm the poster in question and beat him/her into submission. Therefore they try to trivialize him/her as a troll. Grow a pair and defend your positions with facts. If you can't do that, consider that you may be wrong...or that you simply refuse to acknowledge that this individual is entitled to a differing opinion. |

** I suspect the real message is that the left wingers here cannot intimidate and/or overwhelm the poster in question and beat him/her into submission. Therefore they try to trivialize him/her as a troll. *** You suspect wrong. The real message is that the poster is a troll, and everyone's tired of it. Getting back to the original post, poor taste is poor taste, no matter what the boor's party is. |

Driving away other posters is not the purpose of this forum. Read the thread from June, started by MB's "Greg," that blacktaped pulled up. |

I'm not a troll at all I simply post my opinions and facts concerning politics and politicians. That they do not agree with your rabid left wing viewpoint is a given...and you can't stand to be contradicted. That's why you try...unsuccessfully...to label me as a troll...and why you've tried repeatedly to have me kicked off of MB. But, dearie, I have as much right to be here as any of you left wingers. I have been a writer for decades...and whether you like it or not, that is part of the media. Contrary to what you may want to believe, there IS a world beyond newspapers and TV news. It's a crying shame that I have to post this. It is a measure of how intolerant and egotistical you are. |

Ah ha! I finally decided to look up some of the lingo used here. "troll" 3. [ trans. ] informal Computing send (an e-mail message or posting on the Internet) intended to provoke a response from the reader by containing errors. Well, by God, I do know a troll here. goober |ˈgoōbər| informal 1. often offensive a person from the southeastern U.S., esp. Georgia or Arkansas. • offensive an unsophisticated person; a yokel. 2. (also goober pea) a peanut. Not so sure about that one. Wingnut, a name for an eccentric person. Hmmmm... well, that pretty much seems like most of us. |
