Accel.io is a new self-publishing platform for authors and publishers to distribute interactive content. Using the platform, you can create interactive books, or Accel.io “guides,” which can include text, embed videos, slides, and even interactive maps, and then make that content available on any device.
Publishers and authors using the tool can set the price of their titles and even create their own marketplace within Accel.io’s platform. Within your store, you have the option to create ala carte pricing or subscription-based pricing in which readers pay a monthly price for access to all of the guides in the store. The platform already includes eighty stores, and authors can cross promote within these stores.
The tool is great for authors looking to build up a mailing list, as it supplies the author with detailed information about their readers including contact information.
