Amazon Extends 70% Royalty To Canada
Amazon has extended the 70% royalty option from the Kindle Digital Text Platform, Amazon’s self-publishing tool, to include books sold to Canadian customers.
This means that authors and publishers around the world can now receive a 70 percent royalty (net of delivery costs) on books sold to Canadian customers.
Russ Grandinetti, Vice President of Kindle Content had this statement: “Our 70 percent royalty option has proven very popular in both the United States and the United Kingdom, and we’re excited to extend it for sales to Canadian customers.”
In addition, Amazon has changed the name of its self-publishing platform from Kindle Digital Text Platform to Kindle Direct Publishing.
