Amazon Introduces Kindle Subscription Service For Kids

Amazon has introduced a new digital content subscription service aimed at kids called Kindle FreeTime Unlimited.

The service lets pay a monthly subscription fee  in order to gain access to eBooks, digital games, educational apps, movies and TV shows. The content is aimed at kids aged 3-8. It includes Disney games like Where’s My Water? and Where’s My Perry?, as well as eBook apps featuring Thomas & Friends, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Arthur, Duck and Goose, Caillou and Superman.TV shows available through the service include  Sesame Street, Spongebob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, Blue’s Clues, Diego, and Yo Gabba Gabba.

The service costs $2.99 per child or $6.99 per family a month for Amazon Prime members and $4.99 per child or $9.99 per family a month for non-members. The service will launch later this month and will be rolled out as a software update to devices through which customers can choose to subscribe.
