Amazon Prime Members Get Free Instant Movie Streaming

Look out Netflix, Amazon announced today that Amazon Prime Members now get free access to its instant streaming service for TV and movies. Amazon Prime members pay $79 a year for free two day shipping on all orders.

While not as robust as Netflix, the Amazon streaming library includes a healthy 5,000 titles, and we assume that with this move, Amazon will look to acquire more titles. Available films include: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film trilogy, Amadeus, Syriana and Chariots of Fire.

Robbie Schwietzer, VP of Amazon Prime had this statement: “Adding unlimited instant access to thousands of movies and TV shows at no additional cost is a great way to give members even more value for their $79 annual Amazon Prime membership.”
