Andy Rooney Disses eBooks

Unsurprisingly, Andy Rooney prefers print books to digital. In last night’s episode of 60 Minutes, the veteran journalist talked about his love for books and said that he is uninterested in reading books digitally.

“I want my words in books,” he said, meaning print books. Rooney said that he loves keeping his books behind him, so that he can reach out and touch them. “I can’t imagine not being able to open my books and leaf through them,” he said.

Rooney does not believe that print books will go away, as eBooks take over, despite what his friends tell him. If they do go away though, he hopes that authors won’t.
