Readability Coming to Android on March 12
Apple is announcing a new iPad right now, but that’s not all that’s happening.
Readability is planning to release a new app next week. At long last they feel that their Android app is ready for the public.
We went to great lengths to bring the same polished content-centric experience in iOS to Android devices. It sports the same beautiful typography by Hoefler & Frere-Jones and even scales up nicely to handle larger Android devices like the Kindle Fire.
To be honest, I’m not sure that this app is really needed. Several weeks ago Pulse, a news aggregator app, added support for Readability. You can now read articles saved via Readability inside the app, and I’ve found that Pulse provides a very nice reading experience.
