Starbucks’ New ‘Pick of the Week’ Free eBook Not Going so Well

If you’ve ever bought a drink at Starbucks then you probably know about its promotions, including “Pick of the Week.” For some time now Starbucks has been giving away a free mp3 each week to customers.

Earlier this week Starbucks expanded the program to include eBooks. The first eBook to be given away is by Erin Morgenstein, and it’s called Night Circus. The free eBook, like the free mp3s, can be downloaded with a promo code that you can find on a card in stores.

Marvel Comics Soon Free to Read in Starbucks

Starbucks Digital Network will soon have Marvel Digital Comics as well as content from eBookNewser parent Mediabistro available for free in all Starbuck locations.

Marvel Comics will be bringing its complete library to your local Starbucks store on April 23rd. Starbucks customers will have unlimited, free access to stories covering more than 8,000 characters, including Super Heroes, mutants, aliens, and armor-clad super-geniuses.

Mediabistro will be bringing its library of career training videos to the Business & Careers channel. With topics ranging from “How to Make Your Resume Work Harder for You” to “Create a Job Search Strategy”, the instructional videos offer relevance for job seekers and entrepreneurs in all fields.
