Condoleezza Rice Memoir Released Today
Condoleezza Rice’s first installment of her three-book deal with Crown is out today and the eBook price is high.
The Kindle price for Extraordinary, Ordinary People: A Memoir of Family is $14.85, with the hardcover only dollars more, on sale for $16.20. One Amazon reviewer is upset by this price. Frank Todaro of Houston gave the book one-star with the review: “Its a shame. I would really have liked to have read this book, but I refuse to pay more than $9.99 for a kindle book.”
In the book Rice recalls her time as National Security Adviser and Secretary of State in George W. Bush’s White House.
USA Today has more: “There is no distancing going on. Rice is as proud of her record as ever. ‘I look back on those eight years fondly,’ she says, dressed in black, sitting in a small den decorated with NFL helmets and framed shots of her with golfers Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson.”
