Create a Mobile Wi-Fi Network with Open Garden App

Want to turn your Android device into a mobile hotspot? Check out Open Garden‘s Android app, a tool that lets you share your mobile Internet with your laptop and tablet.

The app also lets you establish Internet connections between any supported device with other people with no root access required. The app works to locate the nearest available Internet, be it a Wi-Fi hotspot, a 4G base station or a femtocell. The app uses location services to detect nearby peers. You can set your network to open or closed or share with a select number of people. When Open Garden is running all open interconnected devices in the area are accessed to create a peer-to-peer network.

The device must have bluetooth and you have to install the app on your Android phone as well as on your laptop or tablet. Once the application is installed, your devices automatically connect.
