Disney’s New Mickey’s Spooky App Tops Paid Apps In Books

Kids eBook apps continue to dominate the App Store today with Mickey’s Spooky Night Puzzle Book from Disney and Winnie the Pooh leading the “Top Paid” apps in the “Books” category this afternoon at No. 1 and No. 2. Oceanhouse Media’s The Cat in the Hat App is No. 8 and KwiqApps Goldilocks and the Three Bears app is No. 10.

Kids apps have been dominating the Paid Apps for a couple of months, so it is not a surprise that Barnes & Noble is looking to get into the action. On Monday, they announced Nook Kids, a new collection of digital kids books.

Free content also makes for a popular “Top Paid” app in the “Books category of the App Store. Spreadsong’s Free Audiobooks app and its Free Books app keep their place in the Top 10 ranking at No. 3 and No. 5 respectively. Crossfoward’s Audiobooks Premium is No. 7.

Joe Kwon’s popular True Ghost Stores app remains in the Top 10 at No. 4, as does iVerse Media’s Pocket God Comics, which is No. 6. DMBC’s The Holy Bible King James version rounds out the Top 10 at No. 9.
