eBook Sales Increased 158 Percent in September
According to Association of American Publishers (AAP) sales figures, eBook sales increased by 158 percent in September compared to the same period last year–totaling $39.9 million in sales for the month.
These gains came on the heels of a 40 percent decrease in September adult hardcover sales compared to last year. Overall book sales fell 12.1 percent compared to the same period last year, totaling $1.1 billion in September.

Downloaded Audio Books also saw an increase of 73.7 percent over last year, with sales of $7.7 million this September; and the category was also up 34.1 percent year-to-date. Physical Audio Book sales decreased 42.6 percent in September with sales totaling $11.6 million; sales for the year to date are down 12.6 percent.”
