Digital publishing platform FastPencil has partnered with Barnes & Noble for a new merchandising partnership that will help FastPencil authors get their books marketed in the book retailer’s stores.
According to the terms of the partnership, authors on FastPencil’s Premiere and Wavecrest imprints, will gain merchandising placement both in-stores, online and in the Nook store.
“FastPencil has a direct relationship with Barnes & Noble book buyers giving them the ability to go straight to the source to pitch titles from the Premiere and Wavecrest imprints,” Steve Wilson, co-founder/CEO of FastPencil told AppNewser. “Further, there are a number of books that have come through FastPencil.com (the third imprint that caters to self-publishers), where authors have had notable communities, sell-through or interesting content, to which FastPencil has brought to the Barnes & Noble teams and now is available in-stores.”
Authors whose work are available through FastPencil include: Mercer Mayer, Steven Pressfield, J. Kahn, L. Douglas Keeney, Eric Harr, Helen Whitney, Miriam Nelson, Jennifer Ackerman, Peter Ressler, Monika Mitchell, Guy Gilchrist and Angela Sage Larsen.
