Firefox Now Available for Android Tablets

Mozilla has been working for over a year now to port their browser to Android, and they’ve regularly been updating it with new features, under the hood tweaks, and other improvements.

And yesterday they released a new version of the app with support for Android tablets. As you can see from the screenshot at right, the app now makes better use of screen real estateĀ  with multiple columns, a better menu design, and other improvements. It will also now allow you to request the regular or desktop version of websites instead of simply being stuck with the mobile site.

According to the developer, there won’t be a full version for iPhones or iPads. “We have no plans to release the full Firefox browser for iOS.”

You can find the app in Google Play.
