First Grader Creates App Using Bootstrap Techniques

Elementary school student Zora Ball may be one of the younger app developers around. She created a mobile video game and she is only in first grade.

She showed off her project at the University of Pennsylvania’s during the university’s “Bootstrap Expo,” a program that teaches kids how to program video game apps using algebra and geometry. The Philadelphia Tribune has more: “Seven-year-old Ball has also become a master of the Bootstrap programming language, and when asked, Ball was able to reconfigure her application on the fly using Bootstrap.”

Here is more about the Bootstrap program from its website: “Bootstrap uses algebra as the vehicle for creating images and animations. That means that concepts students encounter in Bootstrap behave the exact same way that they do in math class.
