Google Acquires Snapseed Maker

Google has purchased Nik Software, the company that created the award-winning Snapseed app for sharing photos. What app do you prefer for sharing mobile photos?

Snapseed, which Apple named the iPad app of the year in 2011, offers tap-and-swipe enhancements and filters for pictures taken on iPhones and iPads. Our sibling blog AllFacebook has noted that the purchase could rival Facebook’s acquisition of the popular photo-sharing site Instagram. Explained Google vice president of engineering Vic Gundotra in a blog post, ”We want to help our users create photos they absolutely love, and in our experience Nik does this better than anyone.”
