The world’s second biggest app store set a new record today.

Google reported today that Google Play has now seen 25,000,000,000 app downloads. This app store  has grown from nothing 4 years ago, and it is now home to nearly 700,000 apps and games.

To celebrate the milestone, Google has announced plans for sales on apps, ebooks, music and more. A number of apps and games will go on sale priced at $25 each,and Google will also be offering some special collections like 25 movies you must own, 25 banned books, 25 albums that changed the world and their 25 top selling magazines, with all the content on sale at special prices.
