Graydon Carter To Write Kids Book On iPad For iPad
Graydon Carter is going to write a kids book. And not just any kids book. The Vanity Fair editor/Spy Magazine co-founder is writing and illustrating an interactive eBook called Bella’s Umbrella. He’s writing it on the iPad, for the iPad. Why? He loves his iPad, of course.
Here is his statement of affection: “I’m so completely taken with the iPad, not just as an editor and reader but as a Sunday painter. It’s a marvelous and transformative work of engineering. I’m also delighted to be doing this book with Callaway, who produce the most exquisite book apps for the iPad. I hope children take away the same joy from Bella’s Umbrella that I’m having as I create it.”
Interactive publisher Callaway Digital Arts is putting out the eBook and will work closely with Carter to design the technical aspects of his book. It is slated for release in the fall.
