HarperCollins Titles Absent From OverDrive’s Top Adult Fiction Downloads

Despite all of the controversy surrounding HarperCollins and eBooks at libraries, the publisher failed to make OverDrive’s ten most downloaded books from the library list in adult fiction for February 2011.

Knopf Doubleday’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson was most popular adult fiction title, followed by Knopf Doubleday’s The Confession by John Grisham and The Help by Kathryn Stockett from Penguin USA.

While the Crown Publishing Group dominated the most downloaded adult nonfiction lists with three eBooks in the top 4, HarperCollins only had one title on the list, Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern, which was No. 5.

In fact, HarperCollins books only made three of OverDrive’s various lists, with one title on the most popular adult nonfiction list, one title on the juvenile fiction list and one title on the most popular juvenile nonfiction list. HarperCollins’ I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore was the most popular juvenile fiction title and Justin Bieber by Justin Bieber was No. 4 on the most popular juvenile nonfiction download list.
