J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books now available in eBook and audiobook form through libraries thanks to a new partnership with OverDrive.
The seven book series can be checked out from more than 18,000 libraries and schools in more than 20 countries. The books are available in EPUB and Kindle in the U.S. in English. French, Italian, German and Spanish readers will have versions available soon.
Karen Estrovich, collection development manager at OverDrive stated: “Harry Potter has had an unprecedented impact on multiple generations of readers. Now that the stories are available for lending in digital formats, libraries and schools worldwide have a powerful new way to reach readers of all ages. Amazon and Barnes & Noble both began selling eBook editions of the Harry Potter books earlier this week.
