If you’ve never liked anything in your life, Hater app and social network was created for you. Sure Facebook and Twitter let you share things, but they provide no acceptable means to dislike popular news and events.
Hater App’s alternative social network was created on the premise of real world scenarios. Not everything should be liked, but Hater wants to thrive on the things you don’t like, like rush hour traffic or working on weekends. There’s definitely a market out there for trolls who use commenting systems to destroy any likable thing, but can Hater define a positive space for people to improve the things they hate? Creator Jake Banks said, “It doesn’t have to be so negative. You might hate something so much you want to change it, which is the complete opposite of what happens when you Like something.”
Hater is really similar to Chrome extension and Facebook app, Enemy Graph, which lets you dislike people, companies, and celebrities on Facebook. Unfortunately, only those using the extension can see your dislikes and Enemy Graph is a really slow application that takes forever to load. I’ve used it to name my arch nemesis, but it’s gotten me nowhere in terms of a real online battle. Hater might be a funny place to visit when you feel like indulging in a little social dissonance that Enemy Graph alludes to. If you don’t know where to start, Hater’s website has a handy list of hate-able subjects to get you going down the dislike lane:
