Chronicle Books has plans to release a multimedia guide for Star Trek fans.
How to Speak Klingon, is a print edition audio phrasebook by linguist Ben Grossblatt and illustrator Alex Fine that instructs readers on how to speak the fictional language that was developed by linguist Marc Okrand. Using a a built-in sound module with ten unique sounds, the book enables readers to listen to Klingon phrases spoken out loud by pressing a button.
Phrases include compliments such as, “You bludgeon divinely”; toasts such as, “Today is a good day to die”; and insults like, “Your mother has a smooth forehead.” The book also has a pronunciation key to help readers get it right. The $16.95 print edition ships April 23rd.
