Apple’s iPad goes on sales today at AT&T Wireless and Verizon stores. The tablet is popping up in various retailers this holiday season, as Apple hopes to push the iPad as this year’s holiday gift. The iPad is already available in Target, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club.
AT&T will sell all three iPad Wi-Fi + 3G models at their standard pricing. AT&T will offer different pricing options. This includes $629 for the 16GB model, $729 for the 32GB model and $829 for the 64 GB model. Domestic plans for the iPad are priced at $14.99 per month for 250 MB and $25 for 2GB with no term contract.
Verizon will offer three bundles, all featuring an iPad Wi-Fi model and a Verizon MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot. The iPad Wi-Fi 16GB + MiFi is priced at $629.99, the iPad Wi-Fi 32GB + MiFi is $729.99 and the iPad Wi-Fi 64GB + MiFi will be $829.99. Verizon Wireless is also offering a monthly access plan to iPad customers of up to 1GB of data for just $20 a month.
