“Our goal is to make books more accessible and make books mobile for young children,” said Woody Sears, co-founder of iStoryTime. “By offering the ASL version, it broadens that goal.”
This is the first iStoryTime app that uses sign language. “It is not only for the deaf community but for other children to get exposed to sign language,” said Sears.
The new app is available for $2.99 through Apple’s iTunes and works on the iPad and the iPhone.
