Kobo Upgrades Android eReader App
Kobo has updated its Android eBook application. The upgrade includes the ability to search, add and read Internet Archive ePubs and the ability read eBooks in a DRM-free ePub format.
The free app and the upgrade is available through the Android Market to all smartphone users running Google Android 1.6 or higher.
The application launched back in June and is available across Android based-devices. The Kobo app will come preloaded on RIM’s new tablet device called the PlayBook. The Kobo app for the PlayBook will include a social reading functionality which will let readers read and shop for books with their friends within the app.
