Microsoft SkyDrive Updated With New Apps, More Storage

Google’s cloud storage offering is rumored to be launching today and it looks like the competition is trying to beef up their services in anticipation. Microsoft has updated their SkyDrive cloud storage with new apps and more storage for new users.

First time users can get up to 7GB free storage, and you can buy more if you need it. SkyDrive is offering packages ranging from $10 a year for 20GB to $50 a year for 100GB.

You can access SkyDrive from most web browsers, and MS also offers apps for Windows, OSX, iOS, and Windows Phone. The iOS and Windows Phone apps got an update yesterday. You can now upload multiple photos or videos at a single go as well as share files via links. You can also manage your account from inside the app, including creating new folders and deleting files.
