Navigate Lollapalooza With The Official App

The classic nineties alternative rock festival Lollapalooza takes place this weekend in Chicago, and concert goers will be able to get around the festival with an app.

The official Lollapalooza app, which is powered by The Hard Rock Hotel, includes stage schedules and lineups, and bios and details about the bands who are playing. Never heard of Yellow Ostrich? Check out their bio page in the app. Users can create their own schedule based on the bands that they want to see and there is a map to help navigate the groups.

Another feature of the app is a group texting tool powered by GroupMe, which is designed to help large groups of people connect all over the grounds. Check it out: “We all know that coordinating with people in large areas can be difficult to say the least. Well, thankfully with our GroupMe-powered group text functionality, you can now easily corral your crew from right within the Lolla app so that you can get back to what matters most – hanging out with your posse and soaking in the sounds of Lolla 2012.”

And of course, as with other apps, it is integrated with social media, so users can tweet, Facebook and Instagram their way through the festival without having to leave the app.
