Netflix Adds Miramax to its Streaming Library

Netflix has just signed another big Hollywood fish to a multi-year deal. Starting some time in June, Netflix members will be able streamĀ  such classics as Bad Santa, Scream, Spy Kids, and Pulp Fiction and hundreds of other Miramax titles.

This marks a first for Miramax; it’s never allowed its titles to be released through a digital subscription service before. The new content will be added on a rotating basis, with a few dozen titles showing up at a time.

“Netflix is thrilled to enter into this deal with the new team at Miramax,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. “Existing relationships with management and a shared affinity for these great films make this an important deal for both companies and for our members, who will enjoy instantly watching movies from one of the truly great film libraries for many years to come.”
