Can’t get enough of election coverage? There’s an app for that.

TPM Media has just released a new app for the iPod Touch. PollTracker  pushes the latest in tracking data, polls, and survey responses to your iPhone. The app also includes analysis from TPM’s staff.

“This is TPM’s fourth major election cycle, so we’ve been in this rodeo a few times before,” said Josh Marshall, Editor and Publisher of TPM. “There’s a pattern where in the last three months [before Election Day], a lot more people become junkies. We designed it mainly for those people. When you get down to last few months, even a lot of people who aren’t hardcore political people want to know when the latest poll comes out.”

I’m doing my best to ignore the upcoming presidential election, so the app won’t do me any good. But I can see how it might interest an information junky.
