New Kindle Fire Photos Leaked Online

Amazon did a very strange thing this morning. They put out a press release explaining that the Kindle Fire had sold out. They did not say how many devices they had sold or say when the device would be restocked. They simply said the devices were sold out.

The PR move has led to wide speculation that the new Kindle Fires, which have been rumored about all summer, will arrive soon. Now The Verge, has posted photos of what the new Kindle Fire might look like. TechCrunch has more: “This newly leaked image reveals the existence of a front-facing camera, as well as a rather cluttered-looking navigation bar running vertically along the display’s right edge. Still, Even though the keyboard and the touches of orange are reminiscent of Amazon’s user interface, it remains to be seen whether it is the actual device.”

Amazon is holding a press conference in Los Angeles next week. We’ll be there reporting on the event as things are revealed.
