Double Robotics wants you to ask why you should go somewhere in person when you can instead send a robot. They have a new virtual presence robot in production, and they’re taking orders right now. It looks to be inspired by the Segway, and yes that is an iPad on the pedestal. At the other end the robot is controlled from an ipad as well using Double Robotics’ own iPad app.
