Pride & Prejudice & Zombies App Now in iTunes

The seminal mash-up title is now avaialble as an interactive app.

Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, the first Quirk Books title to add an SF meme to a classic novel, was released in 2009. The way that it mixed in elements of zombie fiction into a classic English novel inspired the whole genre of mash-ups.

The app includes over a hundred interactive pages, as well as an original musical score, buckets of gory animation, sound effects, and easter eggs. It also offers a special mode that lets the reader see the original Jane Austen text along side the mash-up text. “Never before have readers been able to read Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel side by side with Jane Austen’s classic work,” says David Borgenicht, president and publisher of Quirk Books. “Readers will love that they can hold their device one way and it’s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, flip it 180 degrees and it’s Pride and Prejudice, and flip it 90 degrees and it’s both, side by side!”
