Simon & Schuster To Release Enhanced eBook On JFK

Gallery Books and Simon & Schuster Digital have partnered with CBS News and The Discovery Channel for a new enhanced eBook about JFK.

The new book is called THE KENNEDY DETAIL: JFK’s Secret Service Agents Break Their Silence by Gerald Blaine and Lisa McCubbin. The eBook release is timed to Discovery Channel’s premiere of The Kennedy Detail, a documentary on the JFK presidency, which airs on November 22nd at 9 p.m. EST.

The enhanced eBook features eighteen clips of video footage including the 60 Minutes interview in which Secret Service Agent Clint Hill tells Mike Wallace about the assassination. It also includes exclusive photos and stories from those who worked closely with the former president. The eBook is available in the iBookstore and in the Kindle app for iPhones and iPads for $16.99.

This is the second eBook out to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the election of former president John F. Kennedy. NBC News, The Perseus Books Group and Vook released an iPad app earlier this week called JFK: 50 Days.
