iPads dominated the scene at Digital Book World this week. The tablet devices seemed to be on every table and attendees tapped out notes to sessions and secretly checked their e-mail.
Abe Murray, Project Manager at Google, even pointed this out in his presentation yesterday. He was giving stats on the Google eBookstore and mentioned that most Google eBookstore customers have only one eReader, some people have two devices that they read on and a very small portion of Google customers read on three or more devices. He suspected the Digital Book World crowd might be the rare breed of multiple device readers. And by looking around the conference rooms and hallways, he seems to be right.
Did everyone get an iPad this Christmas or is this audience just keyed in to the tablet market?
