John Grisham eBook Hits Top Three For Library Downloads

While Stieg Larsson’s eBooks continue to be the most popular adult fiction downloaded from libraries, John Grisham’s The Confession climbed to No. 3 last month in OverDrive’s “Most Downloaded Books from the Library Lists.”

Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat, Pray, Love; Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang by Chelsea Handler remained the Top 3 library downloads in the adult non-fiction category. AndStephenie Meyer’s three Twilight titles continued to hold the Top 3 most downloaded eBooks in the juvenile fiction category in November.

Decision Points, the new memoir by former president George W. Bush joined the list as the second most downloaded audiobook in the adult non-fiction category. Blink by Malcolm Gladwell was number 3.

‘Sh*t My Dad Says’ Is Most Popular Library Download In October

Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern was the most downloaded nonfiction eBook from libraries in October, according to OverDrive, an eBook distributor for digital books that distributes eBooks to 11,000 library branches throughout the U.S.

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang by Chelsea Handler were the second and third most popular downloads.

Stieg Larsson’s Millenium trilogy topped the most popular adult fiction downloads. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was No. 1. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest was No. 2 and The Girl Who Played with Fire was No. 3.

Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga titles were the most popular downloads for the juvenile fiction category with Twilight at No. 1, Breaking Dawn at No. 2 and Eclipse at No. 3.

Michael Pollan’s The Omnivore’s Dilemma topped the library downloads in October in the juvenile nonfiction category, followed by Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson at No. 2 and 1,001 Facts About Dinosaurs by Neil Clark and William Lindsay at No. 3.

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert topped OverDrive’s most downloaded adult nonfiction eBooks from libraries in August 2010.

The memoir turned movie was followed by Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern at #2 and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang by Chelsea Handler at #3. Malcolm Gladwell‘s Outliers and Elizabeth Gilbert‘s Committed came in at #4 and #5 respectively.

Stieg Larsson took the top three spots for the most downloaded adult fiction titles from OverDrive. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest topped the list. Kathryn Stockett‘s The Help came in at #4 and Private by James Patterson at #5.
