The makers of Let’s Date want you to help your single friends out by finding them potential partners. Wingmen (of either gender) can suggest dating matches by sending users’ date cards to friends via sms or email. Users wishing to be a matchmaker must set up a profile designated as wingman in order to see all dater cards and get sharing features.
Let’s Date officially launched nationally one month ago and has already set up 32,000 dates for users. Unlike Match.com or other dating sites, Let’s Date doesn’t ask you questions about who you want to date, but learns your preference by seeing patterns in your “Let’s Date” or “No Thanks” hits. The app has already collected some interesting data on its user preferences. For example, the least preferable diet is Paleo and LA has the highest rate of date cancellation.
