Inkling Adds Google Indexing to Book Content

There are hundreds of thousands of eBooks out there and many times potential book buyers aren’t aware of these titles. To help address this issue, interactive books publisher Inkling has introduced a new content discovery platform that is aimed at making the content from books more discoverable, and in turn connecting potential readers with books.

The Inkling tool lets digital publishers optimize their books for Google search so that when someone goes online to do a search, they will find content from the book in their query. The idea is that publishers will be able to connect more readers with books on subjects that they are interested in.

“We’re assembling the pieces we need to build a distribution channel around Amazon,” explained Matt MacInnis, founder/CEO of Inkling in a statement. “Now consumers can discover useful content through Google instead of the closed systems of established channels.”
