How To Watch The Presidential Debates With Your Tablet Or Smartphone

Tonight Barack Obama and Mitt Romney will meet for the first of three debates scheduled to take place in advance of the presidential election this November. There are a few different ways to watch the debates using your phone or tablet.

Google is making it easy to catch the action from your mobile device through the newly minted YouTube Election Hub. Using the YouTube app on your device, you can live stream the debates and watch commentary from YouTube partner channels which includes Univision, ABC News, The Wall Street Journal, BuzzFeed, and Al Jazeera. (Remember iOS 6 users, you’ll need to download the new app since the update did away with the old one).

As we discussed on the Morning Media Menu today (press play below), CNN is also live streaming the debates and has even created interactive elements for the debates. TVNewser explains: “Viewers will be able to stream the debates live on their computers, or on their iPhones and iPads, with clip and share video editing features. In other words, if one of the candidates says something controversial, users can clip it and share the video with friends instantly, right from the app.”
