The Danish makers claim to be targetting private photo storage devices like Dropbox, USB, and email not Instagram or Flickr. The technology is oriented towards a youths and young adults who likes to take a lot of photos of friends but doesn’t want to publicly share it on Facebook or Twitter. EC Media, who launched the Wink eReader in India earlier this month, already has plans for its next model. The new Wink XTS model will be smaller and cheaper.

Cyber Media India Online reports: “This new model, to be launched in 3-4 months, will have five-inch display and other features that are almost similar to the existing models of Wink ebook reader. Wink is also planning to launch some new models with six-inch display in the price range Rs 8000 [About $175]. Wink allows users to read in 15 languages and makes available 200,000 titles to choose from.”

The current model launched on September 1st and has a 6-inch display with an eInk screen. It also supports more than 15 regional languages, and besides eReading, it also plays music, supports video games and connects to e-mail.
