Take Photos of Unsuspecting Passersby with this Smartphone Periscope Spy Lens

Camera-shy creatures, like myself, will run away when you turn on a camera. It’s practically impossible to document us unless you sneak up with a contraption like this Periscope Lens.

The smartphone attachment from toy camera and gear gurus Photojojo does all of the light bending necessary to take a photo of something or someone to your side. You can also use it to sneak a photo of your food from above without getting out of your seat to stand on it. Best of all, there’s a preview of the image so you can “pretend” to look at your phone while snapping away.

The lens attachment works like others – there’s a sticky metal ring that goes around the phone’s original lens, and the magnet keeps the periscope attached to your phone. I have a similar device for fisheye photos.
