Charles Portis’ novel True Grit is coming to the Kindle store on January 25th. The western novel, which was originally published in 1968, has become popular again, thanks to the Cohen brothers’ film adaptation of the story last year.
The book has been adapted for the screen twice. The first time the story was adapted was in 1969 in a film starring John Wayne. Last year, Joel and Ethan Cohen remade the story with Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon. Here is a link to the movie trailer.
The eBook is listed on Amazon’s “Coming Soon” list with a release for next Tuesday. Thus far, we couldn’t find the eBook listed anywhere else. Barnes & Noble does not have any information on an upcoming Nook release and Google Books only has links to purchase the print version.
