For some time now master magician Simon Pierro has been working on ways to perform illusions with his iPad, and this video is his latest project. He describes it as an attempt to catch the attention and entertain his two 7-month-old cats, but the cats aren’t visible at all in the video.

And as cool as this trick is, it’s also an old one. Magicians have been using TVs to perform similar tricks for decades now. I can recall some from the 1980s, and I’m sure it goes even further back.
