Yes, Your NookColor Can Hear You Now

Do you have a Bluetooth headset and a hacked NookColor? Put them together with one of the not-yet-released firmwares and you can make phone calls from the NC.

The NookColor got a new feature late last week in the nightly updates from Cyanogen Mod 7. The hackers working on the NC successfully turned on the Bluetooth chip that is built into the NC. That chip is in every NookColor, only Barnes & Noble used software to disable it in the official firmware.

It doesn’t seem to work all that well, but this is a good sign that the feature will be available in a more stable hacked firmware sometime in the future.
