Zillow, the popular digital real estate site and app, has introduced a new iPad app dedicated to home improvement called Zillow Digs.

The app is designed to help home shoppers and home owners come up with design ideas and price out remodeling projects. The app features thousands of photos of real renovation projects in what looks like a Pinterest-style format. You can use the app to create boards with renovation ideas. The projects contain estimates on how much the projects cost. Like Zillow’s “Zestimates,” these  ”Digs Estimates” estimate the cost of construction projects based on the costs of similar projects in the same area.

Like other social networks, you can browse boards created by others, comment on their photos and follow people with similar interests. The app will also connect you with local contruction professionals to get to work on your own projects.

This is the third iPad app from Zillow. The company also has a real estate app and a mortgage calculator app.
