Does The Wall Street Journal have a "woman problem?" That's what Jeff Bercovici asks at Portfolio today, noting the top editing jobs are all held by men. To add insult to injury, the highest-ranking women on the editorial side are on the move, including former deputy managing editor Laurie Hays (headed to Bloomberg) and columnist Carol Hymowitz (bought out). While Bercovici concedes there are still plenty of senior-level women around, and that the problem (if there is one) can't entirely be laid at the feet of Rupert Murdoch and Robert Thomson, his conclusions shine through ...
