The Comcast acquisition of NBC Universal could become a reality as soon as next week, according to The New York Times. Comcast would own 51 percent of the joint venture, with General Electric owning the rest. Vivendi, which currently boasts a 20 percent stake in NBCU, will get out entirely -- assuming the French media conglomerate and G.E. can reach an appropriate valuation. If not, Vivendi could sell off its stake in an initial public offering, a move that would jeopardize any deal. Elsewhere, at least one person .
