The new Newsweek arrives and it's, well, here. The New York Post eviscerates the design, calling it a "rushed-out work in progress." Others were kinder, but only just. Tina Brown wanted to get the book -- featuring cover subject Hillary Clinton -- out before her "Women in the World" summit and while she succeeded, there's still plenty of work to be done. One positive addition was the appearance of former Portfolio editor-in-chief Joanne Lipman, who will write a column and interview CEOs...

Charlie Sheen gets himself canceled from CBS's Two and a Half Men. It's both a predictable result to the saga and a bit of a surprise, especially since rumors were flying that the network and Warner Bros. planned to have Chuck Lorre take a reduced role. WB instead pulled a switch, claiming Sheen's "statements, conduct, and condition prevented him from performing his essential duties." Meanwhile, the actor wants a social media intern...

Michael Paulson leaves the Boston Globe for the metro political editor position at The New York Times... Washington Examiner sports editor James Irwin takes a job at his alma mater, joining as assistant director of the Alumni Association... Sommer Mathis jumps to the Washingtonian, while Jay Westcott takes his camera to Politico...

The Huffington Post/AOL merger is complete, and Arianna Huffington continues to staff up, hiring Jon Ward away from The Daily. He'll cover the 2012 campaign and, of course, had a difficult time leaving the place that employed him for the last few months. Additionally, Huffington snares Trymaine Lee from the NYT, the New York Daily News' Michael McAuliff, and three others...

Peter Smith, president of NBCU International, says goodbye just a day after Mitch Metcalf announced his departure... CBS News names Sonya McNair head of communications. She replaces Jeff Ballabon who left last week... Morning Joe is here to stay...

Mary H.K. Choi, who can do no wrong, officially starts at MTV's Style blog. The kids can learn how to dress and write!... Noah Davis joins the growing (and profitable) mini-empire at Business Insider as associate editor of The Wire. He had been a contributing founder of SportsNewser and will remain a contributing editor at MLSsoccer.com as well as commissioner of the mediabistro.com basketball league... Jennifer Risi joins Ogilvy PR... And there are changes at Alison Brod Public Relations, Shelf Awareness and more
